Adaigo

This is a new chapter in a series of plant experiments jointly initiated by photographer Cheuk Lun Lo and floral artist Vanessa: Using flowers as the inspiration and medium of expression, substituting different roles to explore multiple themes such as life, nature, and society. This series of works was born in the shadow of depression and the tearing of self-salvation in contemporary society. The "bloom" of each flower sewn with coarse cotton thread carries the metaphor of fragmentation and reconstruction and emphasizes the conflict between "forced decency" and "inner collapse".

This series is like a constantly fading blue elegy: “These flowers will never wither. The stitches are the visible scars repaired with imagination in places where no one sees. The unspoken fatigue is sewn into the petals and blooms together with silence, while the stiff stems that stand forcefully are the rigid spines behind every ‘I’m fine.’ All those who claim to heal me have taught me to disguise the shape of pain."
